Victory Hill Global Energises Two New Solar DG Assets in Brazil
VH Global Energy Infrastructure has successfully
energised two additional solar distributed generation (DG) sites in Brazil,
increasing its operational solar DG portfolio in the country to 12 sites with a
total capacity of 34.3MWdc. Victory Hill is a London-based energy investment
manager specializing in advancing the energy transition in line with UN
sustainability goals. The company has managed over $200bn in energy
transactions globally since 2020.
A third solar DG site, with 6.25MWdc capacity, is expected
to go online later in the first quarter of 2025, with three more sites
anticipated to follow later in the year. The two newly energised assets are
already generating revenue under offtake agreements lasting 10 to 20 years. The
larger of the two, at 5.7MWdc, has a 20-year inflation-linked contract with
Telefonica. Offtake agreements are contracts specifying price, duration, and
quantity for purchasing solar energy with the goal of ensuring financial
stability for developers and reliable energy for buyers.
Victory Hill indicated that these projects contribute to Brazil's economic growth and energy grid enhancement while helping clients achieve decarbonisation goals.
